Initiating Service The Natick VNA wants to be your home care provider of choice. We have been caring for people in Natick its surrounding towns since 1899, and we hope that our care and concern has exceeded the expectations of all of our patients and their families.
Choosing a home health care agency can be confusing, particularly if a hospital owns or is affiliated with a particular home care provider. Our goal is to educate both patients and their physicians about their service capabilities and quality standards, so that patients can make the optimal choice for care. This basic information will help you get to know us.
Intake Our Intake Department is available for all referrals and information from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. call 508-653-3081 and press 4 to obtain immediate answers.
Requests for service Requests for care are received from hospitals, physicians, skilled care facilities, and from patients themselves or a family member. All patients requesting services from our clinical staff must be under the care of a physician licensed in Massachusetts.
To obtain services Have your physician or hisor her staff call the Natick VNA and give specific doctor’s orders for care. Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs and other private insurers cover most home health services. Call the Intake Department with questions about your individual insurance plan.
Types of care The home health service requested must be for skilled need and care, namely: nursing, rehabilitation therapy, nutrition and diet, social services, and home care aide for assistance with the activities of daily living.
In the event that you or a family member requires hospitalization, you can request the Natick VNA to continue your services when you return home.
Highly qualified registered nurses who are familiar with the requirements of HMOs and other managed care insurance companies process staff the Managed care Departmentand. They are in constant communication with the insurance authorizers regarding the requested services, and they try to obtain the best care possible for each patient. |
