Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies The physical, occupational, and speech therapists that comprise our rehabilitation team treat a wide variety of diagnoses. Home care aides who specialize in caring for rehabilitation patients assist them with patient treatment and personal care, and help with patients’ activities of daily living (ADLs).
One of the goals of our rehabilitation team is to turn inpatients into outpatients. Patients require in-home rehabilitation services after being discharged from a variety of health facilities, including hospitals (after an early discharge from orthopedic surgeries including total joints or orthopedic repair of fractures), rehabilitation hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, or nursing homes. Doctors' offices also refer patients to our care.
Experience that makes a difference Our physical, occupational, and speech therapists have extensive training and experience in their disciplines. Due to their advanced knowledge, they can offer a variety of techniques including manual therapy, myofascial release, vestibular training, TENS, ultrasound, E-Stim, and FES. These techniques are useful in treating a variety of patients being treated for diverse reasons, including: pediatrics, orthopedics and orthopedic disorders, cardiopulmonary disease, neurological disorders, injuries, connective tissue conditions, musculoskeletal disorders, and debilitation from prolonged hospitalizations such as cancer. |
