PURPOSE

The Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) advises the agency on professional issues, participates in evaluation of the agency’s programs, and assists the agency in maintaining liaisons with other health care providers in the community. The committee meets quarterly to fulfill its purpose.

FUNCTIONS

1. Annually review and make recommendations concerning the revision or implementation of the agency’s policies governing scope of services offered, admission and discharge policies, medical supervision and plans of care, clinical protocols, emergency care, clinical records, personnel qualifications and program evaluation

2. Advise the agency on professional issues

3. Participate in the annual evaluation of the agency’s programs

4. Assist the agency in maintaining liaison with other health care providers in the community and with the agency’s community information program

5. Submit recommendations to the agency’s Board of Trustees
